A few years ago, I was the person in the room designing the management systems, developing risk registers, writing the compliance policies, and coordinating the ISO audits. Then I started seeing AI tools that could do significant parts of that work in seconds. I had a clear choice: wait to be replaced, or become the person building the systems that do it.
I took a deliberate career break in 2025 and spent it on AI. I completed the Microsoft AI Engineer Program through SimpliLearn and Microsoft, earning certification across Python for AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Azure AI Fundamentals, and Generative AI. Alongside the program, I built three real AI tools from scratch — including a full AI transformation architecture for a real Australian business — and attended the AI Business Summit as a VIP delegate in January 2026.
My edge over typical AI candidates is domain depth. I understand what operational excellence is and what a risk register is actually for. I know organisational processes and their best practices, and why an audit trail matters and what it needs to contain. I can design an agentic AI system that is not just technically clever, but governable, auditable, and aligned with real compliance frameworks — because I have spent 11 years living inside those systems. That combination is genuinely rare.
